What if you kept getting letters from an anonymous person that said you were the only one who could save a friend's life? That's what's happening to Miranda. Miranda and her mom live in an apartment building. On the corner of their block is a homeless man who sleeps with his head under a mailbox. He walks around and kicks his feet in to traffic.
This book takes place in New York City. The author tells the story in the main character Miranda's point of view. The author writes the book so it's realistic fiction but toward the end there's an element of fantasy. This book was very suspenseful and had an unusual storyline. If you like realistic fiction and ever wonder if time travel is possible, you'll love this one.
