"A Little Princess," By Frances Hogson Burnett, reviewed by Brianna S.

5 stars

What would you do if you were the richest girl in the world and then all was lost because of one simple death? That's what happened to Sara Crewe. Her father was a rich young man that came from India with his daughter in the late 1800 to the early 1900. Then soon the time came when Sara had to go to Miss.Minchin's Boarding School for Girls in London, England. When her father puts a lot of money into the the diamond mines and when they don't work, he dies from distress. When they find out that Sara's father has left her no money, Sara has to move to the attic and work as a servant for food and a place to stay. Will she survive in the coldness of the attic? Will she get thrown out? Will she be the rich girl she once was before? Read the book and all your questions will be answered.

I recommend this book to 5 grade girls who enjoy novels, history, and magic. I recommend this to these girls because it's about the journey of how a girl finds her inner princess. The message I got was that every girl is a princess and rich no matter how little money or how ugly you are as long as you have imagination.
