This story written by the famous author, Rick Riordan, is about a demigod named Percy who is half human and half god. He's always getting into all kinds of trouble. Being the son of a God makes Percy really powerful. When Zeus finds out that his master lightning bolt is missing he suspects that his brother, Poseiden, stole it. Since Poseiden does not want to be blamed he claims Percy as the lightning thief. The whole world depends on Percy to retrieve the bolt back to Olympus before midnight of the summer solstice. Will Percy make it in time? Is he really the lightning thief? If not who is?
The author of this fabulous story left many cliff hangers that made me zoom through the rest of the books in the series to see what happened.
I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone who loves to read. Be sure to also read the whole series!
