Soren is a barn owl from the Kindom of Tyto, when he was three weeks old he fell out of his nest. Later on he finds out that his older brother Kludd pushed him. He was captured by evil owls. Along the way he meets a small desert owl named Gylfie. The evil owls took them to St. Aegoluios. It was like prison, but they said it was an orphanage. They "moon blink" owls which is like hypnosis. Also they couldn't ask questions, and worst of all they would get sucked on by bats! The only way out was up and to do that they have to fly. It was not good enough to escape, their task was greater than they imagined. Can they do it? Read the Capture to find out.

I recommend this book to fifth graders. Every chapter had some thing exiting at the end. I liked the book so much I even watched the movie! The author use a lot of dialog. It sometimes gets annoying.
